Currently, I am redoing my character concept design in Durwin Talon's Illustration Genres:Topic/ Concept Art class for Janghwa that I did last semester.
This time, I fused Victorian and Korean traditional style.
I also built a bust of Janghwa with sculpy and colored her with acrylic paint.

This is Character design for Janghwa's father. He is a character who lost his first wife and got married to another woman; and his new wife made his two daughters die. So I wanted him to look like he is burdened, and sad.
On the other hand, I didn't design him skinny and weak because he should be the center of his family in the story.
